Replacement Prescriptions
It is your responsibility to promptly fill the prescription that is issued at your doctor’s visit as most prescriptions expire within 30 days. Should the prescription become lost, you have moved to a new pharmacy, you would like to change to a 90 day supply and/or a replacement is necessary, etc. these services would incur a new charge. If you have any balances on your account and you request a refill you will be contacted for payment prior to releasing your refill or prescription request. We require an office visit for any medication refills. In the case of birth control devices all devices that are not inserted within 90 days of delivery to the office will be considered abandoned. Please note that once a device is abandoned it may be destroyed, it may delay you getting another device at a new provider OR it may result in you having to pay 100% out of pocket for your next device. Please also note with devices that our office is not allowed to release, dispense or ship any devices or medications to another doctor’s office or release them directly to the patient. We are only allowed to contact the originating pharmacy if there is a change so that they may instruct us as to what to do next with the device. It is a decision made completely by your mail order pharmacy and not our office as we do not have accounts with these companies.
