Wait Time For Appointment

We inform all patients of the following policy when they first become a patient and every time their financial policy is updated:

It is NEVER our goal to have anyone wait an extended amount of time. Our office is THE ONLY office in Houston that offers a Board-Certified, Nationally Certified Menopausal Gynecologist with a focus in Herbal, Ayurveda, Functional and Integrative medicine therefore our office visit times are longer than most traditional practices. This can mean our doctor can have visits of an hour or more per patient since we are THE ONLY gynecologic office in Houston that currently delivers this type of care. Most patients are willing to wait (only when necessary of course as we do value our patient's time as precious) because they know the level of service that our doctor will provide and how she will take the time to listen to their individual needs. We are committed to providing each patient with the highest level of service for their needs (because our patients are precious to us) which sometimes can have an impact on wait times as some patients do require much more time to attend to their needs. Although we can't and will never compromise our commitment to hand-crafted patient care we do want the community to be aware of the difference in our practice and how that can impact wait times.

With this in mind please be prepared for a wait time up to 1-2 hours after your appointment time.  This time will vary and may be much shorter depending on patient load and complexity on the date of your visit.  We do also have a minimum quorum for any group visit--if another patient cancels and your group falls below our minimum quorum then your group visit may have to be rescheduled.

We do have a 15 minute grace period for appointments in case you are running late. If you have not arrived by 15 minutes past your appointment time (for any reason) your appointment will be marked as a no show and will be canceled.

Typically the most common wait time to see the doctor after the appointment time on average is 20-30 minutes however on some days depending on the patient complexity those times may be longer.  Any patient who arrives to their appointment (either virtually or in person) who needs to be rescheduled will be offered that option.

We stress the importance of all patients taking in this possible wait time when scheduling their appointments to ensure that they adequate time blocked after their appointment to complete their visit with the doctor.
