Do I have to register for the patient portal?

Yes. Your labs and imaging results are sent here after being reviewed by the physician and any instructions are sent straight to you on the patient portal. We recommend that you review the portal after your visit to ensure that you don't have any questions about your labs and to ensure that everything that you requested be ordered at your visit. If you notice that there is a lab missing or there is a lab that you don't understand PLEASE call our office.

Normal labs are released to the patient portal on the weekend and abnormal labs and imaging are typically released within 1-2 days after physician has reviewed depending on when received and the amount of labs currently in review.

In all cases if you need a copy of your lab results before they are released on the portal please contact your lab directly and they can provide you with a copy of your results also. On your portal you can also review your account and update your information.

In all cases your results whether normal or abnormal will be released to you via the patient portal.  Please note  any questions about a result that is flagged as abnormal WILL require an in office followup.  The physician DOES NOT place personal phone calls to patients about abnormal lab results unless it is a medical emergency (as defined as results are serious enough to require hospitalization).
